Holidays on the Hill was officially established in June 2023, evolving from our earlier initiative, Holidays on Salmon Falls. This journey began with our special needs son’s excitement and joy in seeing Halloween and Christmas decorations displayed outside our home. One chilly winter night in 2022, the Grinch knocked on our door, and he has since become a beloved part of our holiday traditions, joining us every festive season. Holiday Assistance Applications
Now Open!
The holidays are right around the corner, and Holidays on the Hill (HOTH) is now accepting applications for our Holiday Assistance Program.
If your family could use a little extra help putting gifts under the tree this year, we invite you to apply. Our program supports income-sensitive families in the Rochester area to help bring a little holiday joy to local homes.
How to Apply
You can pick up an application at 2 Sunset Drive or 33A Hemlock Street in Rochester.
Once you have filled it out, please message us on Facebook, call or text us at 603-507-9866, or send us a an email to schedule an appointment to drop it off.
Applications are reviewed by appointment only to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
The last day to apply is November 5th!

Adopt a Family or Child for Christmas
Help us make the holidays brighter for local families in need!
Each year, Holidays on the Hill connects generous community members, businesses, and organizations with local families who are struggling to provide gifts for their children. Through our Adopt-a-Family Christmas Program, you can bring real joy and relief to a family right here in our community.
How It Works
1. Sign Up to Adopt
Let us know if you’d like to adopt a family or an individual child. We’ll match you with a family based on your preference and budget.
2. Receive Your Family’s Wish List
We’ll send you a short profile that includes each child’s age, gender, clothing sizes, and a few simple gift wishes.
3. Shop for Gifts
Purchase the items on your family’s wish list. Please keep all gifts unwrapped and clearly label each item with the child’s name.
4. Drop Off Your Gifts
Bring your unwrapped gifts to one of our drop-off locations in Rochester or East Rochester by December [insert deadline].
(We’ll provide full instructions when you’re matched.)
5. We Deliver the Magic!
Our volunteers will wrap and organize the gifts before delivering them to each family in time for Christmas morning.
